Flora Sengupta, MA

Administrative Supervisor
Flora (she/her) brings a thoughtful, interdisciplinary perspective to her work, grounded in her background in quantitative research, business, mental health advocacy, and culturally responsive care. She earned her master's in Quantitative Methods and bachelor's in economics and psychology from Columbia University. She was recently accepted into Columbia's Counseling Psychology graduate program, where she will continue her clinical training and deepen her commitment to culturally responsive, relational, and evidence-based care. Her background includes research in social cognition, organizational psychology, and speech and language-based approaches to understanding mental health. She has also held teaching assistantship positions and leadership roles across social science departments at Columbia, where she supported students in connecting varied theoretical lenses to real-world systems, relationships, and lived experience. Prior to transitioning more fully into the mental health field, Flora worked in finance, where she developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, strategy, and understanding complex systems. Outside of her academic and professional work, Flora enjoys movement (particularly dance), photography, and exploring the city’s neighborhoods through its food, culture, and everyday moments.
