Durga Rathi MHC-LP
Associate
Durga Rathi, MHC-LP (she/her) is an integrative psychotherapist with experience treating adults navigating complex and developmental trauma, anxiety, depression, and challenging life transitions. Durga approaches therapy as a collaborative, courageous process, creating an environment where clients can be honest about what’s happening beneath the surface and curious about what they want to change. Her style is warm and curious, while also offering practical tools to help clients feel more grounded and in control of their responses to the world around them. As a South Asian psychotherapist, Durga is committed to making space for the complicated relationship some clients may have with their interlacing identities. She believes empowerment comes from weaving together the pieces of ourselves that our communities have not yet made space for, and this work requires a safe and supportive relationship to truly unfold. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, Durga balances reflection and insight with concrete skills clients can incorporate into their everyday lives. Durga earned her Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College and her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Yale University.
