Charlee Taylor, LMSW

Charlee is currently a full-time mother of four who loves reading, watching movies, and going on adventures with her family. While the last eight years have been primarily dedicated to raising her little ones, Charlee spent nearly a decade prior working with a range of individuals from birth to adulthood predominantly in the area of trauma utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. She spent most of her career at Dell Children’s Hospital in the emergency department with a focus on assessing mental health crises, providing bereavement support, and parenting safety and education. During a year with the Travis County Attorney’s Office, she advocated for the safety and well-being of survivors of interpersonal violence. She also worked with middle and high school students in Houston ISD regarding mental health, healthy relationships, and academic goals and success. Charlee supports the work of our clinicians by ensuring documentation is up-to-date and demonstrative of the work our clinicians are providing. Charlee obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She loves being a small part of The Root Therapy contributing to the wellness and empowerment of the community they serve.
