Individual therapy starts with an initial evaluation during which you and your therapist will get to know each other, discuss what led you to reach out now, explore your expectations for the therapeutic process, identify specific goals, and develop a plan for achieving those goals.
Most therapy protocols recommend weekly psychotherapy to ensure clinical outcomes and current research supports this recommendation. That said, we know how busy life can get and will do our best to tailor protocols to your availability through the use of telemedicine and creative self-study assignments between sessions.
