Mackenzie Menter (they/she) is a queer therapist-in-training who brings warmth, creativity, and deep relational presence to their work. With a background in music theatre and a lifelong passion for storytelling, Mackenzie weaves creativity into the healing process, helping clients explore their identities and experiences in ways that feel authentic and empowering. They are particularly passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating the impact of religious trauma, identity-based shame, and complex family systems. Drawing on training in trauma-informed care, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and human sexuality, Mackenzie creates affirming spaces where clients can reclaim their sense of self, build self-compassion, and cultivate relationships that feel safe and life-giving. Currently completing dual master’s degrees in Social Work and Human Sexuality at Widener University, Mackenzie blends clinical skill with lived understanding of the challenges marginalized communities face. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, they meet each client with curiosity, cultural humility, and a belief in their capacity to heal and thrive.
